About Engineering Information Technology (EIT)

EIT provides Information Technology support to the A. James Clark School of Engineering. This includes providing state-of-the-art facilities for faculty and students, such as multiple computer labs and technology-equipped classrooms, as well as providing Blackboard support to Engineering faculty, staff and students, web development, networking and other academic technology support.

Our mission

• To provide multimedia facilities to the College of Engineering
• To contribute to the education of undergraduate and graduate students at UMCP by providing open lab facilities
• To provide and support technology classrooms for use by the Engineering faculty and students
• To keep the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Engineering connected to the world of technology by providing networking and Internet accessibility
• To explore the latest multimedia and teaching technologies and adapt them for use in the EIT labs and classrooms for in-class and Distance Learning Applications
• To provide the technical support infrastructure for Internet Technologies and Web Based Online presence of the Engineering Academic Program
