The OIT Copy Center operates a high volume XEROX 5090 and mid-volume XEROX 5388 on a production, job submittal basis. Student key operators accept the jobs and process them in the order in which they are received. Average turnaround time is 4 hours.

The Copy Center offers on-line thermal binding with the XEROX 5090, and spiral binding on a walk-up, self-service basis.

The Copy Center operates on a volume basis; the charge per copy may fluctuate month to month based on the total volume of copies processed.

We ask our customers to be aware of copyright restrictions and guidelines when submitting material or copying. If you have questions concerning copyrighted materials, one of our trained staff members will be glad to assist you.

Guidelines for Use
Office of Information Technology
Copy Center

The Job Submittal Form must be entirely completed. This information is necessary in order to process your job. If the information is incomplete, it may delay the turnaround time on your job. Jobs are processed in the order in which they are received. Please time/date stamp your submittal sheet.

All staples and bindings of any kind must be removed by the customer before submitting the job for copying. The Copy Center cannot remove them for you.

All paste-up pages must be securely taped along all four sides. Any cut and paste activities are the responsibility of the customer.

Undersize pages (anything less than 8.5" x 11") can be copied but must be hand placed. This requires additional time and may incur an additional charge. The maximum size of originals that can be copied is 11" x 17".

Routine jobs are processed in the order in which they are received, however, any request for special handling may increase the turn-around time of your job. Please place any job requiring special handling in the care of the Copy Center manager.

NOTICE

WARNING CONCERNING
COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

The OIT Copy Center reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
